Breaking down barriers” A playground for inclusion at the Jerusalem Princess Basma School
As part of our commitment to an inclusive environment in our school, we have been working on a project to transform our school playground to provide a better environment for all our students, regardless of ability. With the completion of the restoration work, the school's playground is now a vibrant hub for students, providing space for rest and sporting activities.
The final step in the project will be the installation of an elevator, which is an important addition that will provide new opportunities for students with physical disabilities to play and socialize with their peers Noorsan. A 7th grade student shared her excitement about the remodeled playground: "The playground is now brighter, wider, and safer. I am so excited that we can be alongside our friends. This covered space means we can enjoy our breaks whatever the weather is."
As the final phase unfolds with the installation of the elevator, Jerusalem Princess Basma School continues to exemplify its commitment to creating an environment where every student can thrive by promoting inclusivity and breaking down barriers to education and enjoyment.
