The Medical Director at JPBC participates in the 76th annual conference of AACPDM

Within its strategy to raise the capacities of its medical and Rehabilitation staff, and to keep them updated on the latest technologies in the field of rehabilitation and disability, our Medical Director Dr. Waddah Malhees attended the 76th annual conference that was organized by the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine AACPDM, held in Las Vegas, USA.

The conference aims to develop academic and medical research related to persons with disabilities, in order to ensure that the services and support provided to them are effective and meaningful, in a way that positively affects their lives.

From his side, Dr. Waddah stressed the importance of the participation of JPBC; “It is an effective means of spreading our message and sharing our vision with the world”. He adds that it is important to review the latest treatment and rehabilitation methods, which will necessarily reflect on the quality of the services provided at the Centre.

Moreover, this participation created a great opportunity to meet with those with international expertise in the field of rehabilitation of children with disabilities, and to learn more about rehabilitation policies after the pandemic.

In addition to lectures and workshops, JPBC participated in the “LifeShots” competition, which expressed the value of life for people with disabilities.

It is worth mentioning that the AACPDM is an academy with more than 1,200 multidisciplinary members from institutions whose work revolves around improving care for people with disabilities from childhood, in addition to improving the lives of their families and communities.
